i was wondering , since most people only do the "strenght of snow" quest" because its alot easier and you basically run to the end chest, if the chances are higher on the "straight to the heart quest" wich is not as easy as the other quest, hmmm

i myself ran enought to get me 8 stacks of ccs and no damn bear oh well i quess back to the corner to make money to actually buy it lol

The smartest thing you can do is speed clear DoA to get one. To even get a decent chance you must do 5000 runs. Then again after 5000 runs chances are good you still wont get one.

The current plan is to push the new flux tomorrow.
Why removing the most active and fun PvP format in this game? :s If wintersday is simply a problem, just replace snow with regular terrain, make snowballs rocks or regular balls and rename arena to Dodgeball. Decrease rewards, add new title and there you go - with so little work you have an awesome format, which many many guilds enjoy.

Sad thing it's not gonna happen.

We should get at least 2 more weeks with normal snowballs as flux in december made tournaments much less enjoyable.

And btw. 8500+ RP here (4000 from last year) No idea what I'm gonna do with this. xd

Logged on yesterday to get the hood and the scarves. Other than that, missed all of Wintersday playing SWTOR.

Disagree.

I think that they will update Eles and HM soon b/c they were initially set to release it just before the holidays, but then diverted their resources to tending to the holiday content.

Assuming they are still ready with the Ele overhaul, there's no reason they won't update as soon as possible.

What will probably sneak with WoC part 3 is the (melee?) hero AI update. Let's see how much the changes to eles/ HM/ AI will change the meta. Hopefully for the better, so rit/ mesmer/ RoJ monk/ necro heroes don't dominate so much over other options.

Isn't the gift giver around past the end like previous years? Would be nice to bet rid of all the cc shards.

The gift giver still appears to be in Kamadan and Great Temple of Balthazar.

why don't they just keep the snowball ATs till the end of January since it's obviously the most active and the most fun pvp format
*big sigh*

Agree with this.. GvG At's are usually too long and not played a lot by everyone whereas having snowball At's aside on diferent hours could be an other way to get reward points and to have PvP fights easily( like in hero battles)... they would only need to lower the reward a bit and it would be fine, there would be something to do in PvP for long time...

But well, i hope the next flux will make people come again and won't just do little in GvG while making other formats less active than they are.. I've been told by many that it would be something like whenever you use a skill, it is disabled 3 sec for everyone in the arena.... I really hope it isn't such, else RA is going to be even more joke( cough rez sigs, cough unlucky 3 fire eles) while rest will rely on ping...

Kinda sad we only had 2 days of real snowball, without flux which ruined it quite a bit
Oh well, didn't expect anything, I guess pve ecto farmers are happy now.

Unless you intend to hold on to them for a long while, they are not going to be worth much in the short term since so many people are selling stacks of them, as expected.

The last meaningful Wintersday before GW2 comes out. I loved the scarves. Didn't miss the bots in the Snowball fights, and I may actually take my Ele out into PvE for the first time in a year when the update happens just to see it in action.
